EU-supported EU4AGRI project launches a new Public Call

INTRODUCTION OF STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IN AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD INDUSTRY WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

On Monday, 25 July, the EU-funded EU4AGRI project launched a Public Call for grants to support the introduction of standards and certification in agricultural and food production.

Under this Public Call, the European Union will support business entities in agri-food sector to introduce certain standards in their operations or perform certification of their products, services and production processes. The Public Call aims to strengthen agricultural and food industry, improve quality, hygiene, traceability and food safety, increase competitiveness and facilitate access to markets.

Who can apply under this Public Call?

The Call is open for micro, small and medium enterprises, crafts/entrepreneurs and cooperatives engaged in production, processing or production and processing of agricultural products for human consumption, and associations gathering producers/processors for their group certification.

Under this Public Call, 1 million BAM is available, and grant funds per application can range from BAM 5,000 to BAM 50,000, with mandatory co-financing of the applicant in the amount of 30% of the total value of eligible project costs.

Applications can be submitted from 1 August 2022, and the deadline for applications is 2 September 2022, by 17:00

Applications are submitted through e-application system only, at https://javnipoziv.undp.ba/ provided by the EU4AGRI project. Applications submitted in any other format (e-mail, mail, fax, etc.) are prohibited and will not be considered.

The Public Call can be accessed by all interested stakeholders through the official website of the project, eu4agri.ba.

The first online INFO session will be held on Monday, 1 August at 14:00, via the EU4AGRI Facebook page EU4AGRI.

Additionally, in the coming period, a series of info sessions will be organised in six (6) cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka, Bihać, Brčko and Doboj, and information about the exact date and venue will be published on the website eu4agri.ba.

EU4AGRI is a four-year (2020-2024) project of the European Union worth 20.25 million Euro, aimed to modernise the agri-food sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in BiH and the Czech Development Agency (CzDA).
