In July 2014, the European Commission, France and Slovenia convened an International Donors’ Conference in Brussels to respond to the consequences of severe weather and devastating floods that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia in May. As one of the conclusions, participants agreed to organise a follow-up event with a focus on how to improve policy, infrastructures and regional governance in the field flood prevention and management.
