High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko today welcomed the re-appointment of Kemal Kozarić to the post of Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and commended the new Governing Board for its swift decision.

“I congratulate Mr Kozarić on his re-appointment as Governor of the Central Bank. The task ahead of him is not an easy one, but I am confident that the Central Bank will continue to be a source of stability in the monetary and banking sectors, particularly in the face of the current global economic and social crisis”, Inzko said.

“The new Governing Board has shown that it means business by not wasting any time in getting back to work, and I expect that it will continue to take swift and prudent decisions whenever necessary. It is disappointing that so many other appointments to key positions are still outstanding”, concluded Inzko.
