The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Valentin Inzko, met today in Sarajevo with the Deputy President of the Radom za Boljitak Party, Jerko Ivankovic Lijanovic.

The HREUSR Inzko and Ivankovic Lijanovic spoke about current political situation in the country, emphasizing the need to accelerate the adoption of those reforms for BiH to keep pace with the other countries in the region on the road to Europe.

In line with earlier meetings with BiH officials and political party leaders ahead of the autumn elections the discussion also focused on election campaign. The HR/EUSR said that the politicians seeking a new four-year mandate from the electorate must offer solutions for country’s existing problems; a strategy to overcome the effects of economic recession, job creation and the fight against corruption.
