HR/EUSR Inzko meets Montenegrin Foreign Minister Roćen

The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Valentin Inzko, met today in Podgorica with Montenegrin Minister Foreign Affairs, Milan Roćen.

The HR/EUSR gave Minister Roćen his assessment of the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Noting progress in specific areas, including on meeting conditions for Visa liberalization, HR/EUSR Inzko underlined that in general the country had made too little progress on the EU reforms agenda or on the completion of the ‘5+2’ agenda, which would allow a transformation of the international presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

HR/EUSR Inzko and Minister Roćen also discussed the regional situation, noting that good interstate relations represent a step towards the integration of the entire region into the European Union. The HR/EUSR welcomed positive developments coming from the region, in particular  the positive impact of recent visits to BiH by leaders of the neighbouring countries, the Istanbul declaration, the Serbian Parliament’s Srebrenica resolution.
