High Representative and EU Special Representative, Valentin Inzko, met today in Sarajevo with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle. The HR/EUSR gave Minister Westerwelle his view of the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina highlighting specific issues, including on meeting conditions for Visa liberalization and reforms related to Euro-Atlantic integration processes.

“BiH had made insufficient progress on the EU reforms agenda and the completion of the ‘5+2’ agenda, which would allow a closure of the OHR and transformation of the international presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina'” noted HR/EUSR Inzko and expressed hope that after the October elections political climate will shift towards constructive political dialogue, compromise and reform processes if BiH is to overcome longstanding political impasse.

HR/EUSR Valentin Inzko thanked Minister Westerwelle for Germany’s continued support to BiH’s efforts related to MAP and EU.
