Towards resolving the regional housing issue of displaced persons and refugees

The Regional Housing Programme (RHP) is a joint initiative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia, which aims to contribute towards resolving the protracted displacement situation of the most vulnerable refugees and displaced persons following the conflicts on the territory of former Yugoslavia by providing them with durable housing solutions.

The RHP aims to benefit close to 74,000 people or 27,000 households and its cost is estimated to be approximately €584 million over a five-year period.

The regional initiative is endorsed by the international community, including the European Union represented by the European Commission, the United States of America, the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
