European Commission Progress Report 2008: Announcement for NGOs and Civil Society Organisations

Each year, the European Commission has published its annual Progress Report on Bosnia  and Herzegovina, in the framework of the Stabilisation and Association Process. The European Commission Progress Report aims at assessing the specific situation in each candidate and potential candidate with a view to EU integration.

The Progress Report 2008 follows a similar structure as the 2007 Report.  It will take stock, for each of the relevant criteria (Political criteria, Economic criteria and European standards) of progress made by BiH from October 2007 to October 2008. Progress will be measured in terms of decisions actually taken, legislation adopted and degree of implementation.

The European Commission wishes to further strengthen the dialogue with NGOs and Civil Society Organizations. NGOs and Civil Society Organizations are invited to submit their input and contribution to the Progress Report and in their own respective area. The Commission expects contributions to be factually accurate, verifiable and objective.
