Dirk Lange, Head of Unit for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Directorate General for Enlargement, visits Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mr Dirk Lange, Head of Unit for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, European Commission Directorate General for Enlargement, will visit Banjaluka 10-14 June 2008 where sectoral and plenary sessions of regular Reform process monitoring (RPM) will take place. Issues that will be discussed at the sectoral session on 10 and 11 June are information society and media, education, research and social policy while at the plenary session which will take place on 11 and 12 June, the following issues will be discussed: reconciliation and regional cooperation, constitutional reform, strengthening of administrative capacities, visa and border management, asylum and migration, money laundering, corruption, fight against organised crime and terrorism, judiciary and data protection. Sectoral and plenary sessions will take place at Republika Srpska government building, Trg Republike Srpske 1, Banjaluka.

Mr Dirk Lange was European Commission’s chief negotiator for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. During his visit, Mr Lange will also visit EU funded projects and will meet with representatives of local authorities, non-governmental sector and other officials.
