European Commission Progress Report 2009: Announcement for NGOs and Civil Society Organisations

Each year, the European Commission publishes its annual Progress Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the framework of the Stabilisation and Association Process. The European Commission Progress Report aims at assessing the specific situation in each candidate and potential candidate with a view to EU integration.

The Progress Report 2009 follows a similar structure as the 2008 Report.  It will take stock, for each of the relevant criteria (Political criteria, Economic criteria and European standards) of progress made by BiH from October 2008 to October 2009. Progress will be measured in terms of decisions actually taken, legislation adopted and degree of implementation.

The European Commission wishes to maintain the dialogue with NGOs and Civil Society Organisations. NGOs and Civil Society Organisations are invited to submit their input to the Progress Report for their own respective area. The Commission expects contributions to be factually accurate, verifiable and objective.

Input should be sent by 25th May to the following e-mail address: delegation-bih@ec.europa.eu
