Signing ceremony of the 39 million euro Financing Agreement for the IPA 2009 Anti-Crisis Package for BiH

The European Union will provide 39 million euro for the IPA 2009 National Programme aimed at alleviating the impact of the financial and economic crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina as proposed in the European Economic Recovery Plan announced by the European Commission in November 2008. The funds will be used for development of small and medium sized enterprises, significant investments in infrastructure in the transport, environment and energy sectors and for projects increasing the coverage of the deposit insurance.

Ambassador Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of European Commission Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mr Dragan Vrankić, Deputy Chairman and Minister of Finance and Treasury of the Council of Ministers of BiH will sign the Financing Agreement at the ceremony which will take place on Tuesday, 1 December 2009, 12.00 hrs, at the BiH Institutions building, press conference 3/II, Trg BiH 1.
