Roundtable in Mostar Held within the EU Project “Thematic Weeks”

Actuality of the Bologna process is the topic of the roundtable within the EU financed project “Thematic Weeks”. Professors, students, representatives of the education ministries, experts and coordinators for the Bologna process will attend the presentation and discussion on:

“Bologna Process and European Area of Higher Education and Research” Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at „Džemal Bijedić“ University in Mostar   Hall 201 Thursday, March 18th 2010 From 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM The lecture will be given by Prof. Sead Pašić.

Ministers of European countries in charge of higher education signed the Bologna Declaration in 1999, thus starting the Bologna process aimed at creation of a single European system of university teaching and research by 2010, simultaneously recognizing and preserving diversity of national specificities (culture, language, tradition etc.) This method aspires to create a more flexible and efficient system of higher education in Europe which would also be competitive on the global knowledge market. Bosnia and Herzegovina signed the Bologna Declaration on September 18th 2003.

Roundtables within the “Theme Weeks” process on the topic of Bologna process, besides Mostar, are also to be held at faculties in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
