Referring to the June 10th press release issued by the RS Prime Minister’s Office and the follow-up misunderstanding that it caused, EU Delegation to BiH would like to clarify the position expressed by the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Dimitris Kourkoulas in his meeting with the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, affirming that further changes to the BiH Constitution, including the ones stated by the European Court of Human Rights in the Sejdic and Finci case, will be required in order for Bosnia and Herzegovina to make steps on the path to the EU integration.

This is a well-known position of the European Union, which is also stated in the priorities and conditions contained in the European Partnership with Bosnia and Herzegovina. European Partnership (2008) is an instrument of the Stabilisation and Association Process and provides tailored support to the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to realise the country’s European perspective.
