The Heads of Mission of the European Union Member States and of the European Union condemn in the strongest possible terms the attack yesterday on the police station in Bugojno that appears to be a terrorist act, taking away an innocent life and causing serious injuries.

The Heads of Mission express deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.

We fully support the law enforcement agencies of the country in their efforts to swiftly bring those responsible for this reprehensible act of violence to justice and call on all citizens to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies in their investigation and prevention of such acts in future.  Such despicable acts should unite all people, political leaders and authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in defending their country and upholding its democratic values.
