EU Commissioner Füle visits Bosnia and Herzegovina

Štefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on 7 and 8 October 2010.

Commissioner Füle is planning to meet with the BiH Presidency members and have high-level political consultations with the leaders of BiH political parties on the key BiH – EU relationship issues and the reforms needed on the BiH European integration path.   

During this visit the Memorandum of Understanding on EU Macro-financial assistance of EUR 100 million to Bosnia and Herzegovina will be signed by Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Vrankic.

Commissioner Füle will meet the Heads of the EU diplomatic missions accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina and have an exchange of opinions with representatives of Igman Initiative on how to better facilitate local and regional dialogue in the fields of politics, economy and culture.

Ahead of the visit Commissioner Štefan Füle stated: "It is high time for Bosnia and Herzegovina to embark on the key reforms that are needed for its own good and for its ambitions to become an EU candidate country."
