HR/VP Mogherini and Commissioner Hahn meetings with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zvizdić

Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, and Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, met today in Strasbourg the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić. In their meetings, they discussed good progress by Bosnia and Herzegovina on the EU path which is a result of the ongoing commitment to the reforms by the Council of Ministers under the leadership of the Chairman Zvizdić, in line with the citizens demands and their support to the country’s EU integration.

High Representative/Vice-President Mogherini and Commissioner Hahn pointed to the need to maintain focus, to keep delivering reforms and to finalise, at the earliest, the work on the adaptation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement after the accession of Croatia to the European Union and on the internal Coordination Mechanism on EU affairs. These represent the outstanding commitments from February, when Bosnia and Herzegovina presented its application for membership in the European Union; their delivery is needed in view of the next steps on the country’s EU path.
