LID Project: Announcement of the “Public call for small and medium enterprises for expression of interest for support to realization of projects related to the technological advancement and trainings of the workforce in 2017 and 2018”

As a part of the “Local Integrated Development (LID)” Project, which is primarily funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP), the “Public call for small and medium enterprises for expression of interest for support to realization of projects related to the technological advancement and trainings of the workforce in 2017 and 2018” has been announced.

This Call for expression of interest will enable all interested SMEs from partner local self-governance units, who operate in the priority sectors (wood processing, metal, textile and IT) and selected value chains to work together with the LID Project in order to realize i) investments aimed at technological advancement of SMEs, ii) training programmes for requalification and skills development of the workforce to achieve a higher productivity level and create new jobs, in order to enhance the overall SMEs competitiveness.

The goal of this Call for expression of interest is to identify projects which will be supported from the LID Project, within available resources, for technological advancement of SMEs, projects related to requalification and skills development of the workforce, and combined projects of requalification and skills development of the workforce and investments directed towards the technological advancement of SMEs. Through the implementation of this support in 2017 and 2018, the following cumulative results are expected:

• Supported SMEs will achieve an increase in revenues (preferably from export jobs) in the min. amount of 3% compared to the realized income from 2016 in the 12-months period upon the purchase of equipment and machines;
• All SMEs that will be supported will employ at least 20 people (cumulative for all SMEs).

The completed proposal form, budget form and accompanying documentation must be submitted in one (1) original and one (1) copy, in A4 format and bounded. Also, complete project documentation (in zip format) should be submitted in electronic form, on CD, or USB memory card.

The deadline for submitting the application is Thursday, October 19th 2017 until 17:00, which is confirmed by the date on the delivery note, the postmark or the receipt. Applications may also be submitted in person. Applications filed after the expiry of the deadline will not be considered.

Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope by registered post, courier mail or personally (signed and dated receipt note will be given to the person who personally submits the application) to the following address:
