Omnibus of Young Dramaturgs from EU & BiH launched

The European Union launched today in Banja Luka the “Omnibus of Young Dramaturgs from EU & BiH” in order to connect students, the public, cultural institutions and the media with the aim of promoting the creative work of young dramaturgs from all around the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project aims to inspire students in their creative work and encourage them to think for themselves, rather than passively accepting “ready-served” information. It will be implemented by the Banja Luka Student Theatre in consortium with AAP-ELECTRONIC Banja Luka.

Workshops will be organised within the project to prepare the holding of instant 24-hour theatre plays on the stage of the Banja Luka Student Theatre, as well as an exhibition of photographs that will be organised in Banja Luka and several other BiH cities.

Members of the project team led by Aleksandar Pejaković have already started work on selection of the most up-and-coming European dramaturgs and performing arts students from the art academies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Works have also begun on adaptation of the “Podrum scena” premises in Gospodska Street. The programme for the performances of the plays and workshops (20 in total) will be linked to the start of each of the four seasons, i.e. 21 March, 21 June, 23 September and 21 December 2020. The official opening is planned for March.

The project is fully funded by the European Union.
