on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s joining the Horizon 2020 of the European Union, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, Head of the Delegation of
the EU to Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU Special Representative, said:

“It’s very good news for BiH
business and for academic institutions that Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed
up to the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme – Horizon 2020.
Investment into research and innovation is an investment in our future, in
economic growth, job creation. Through the funding it provides, Horizon 2020
will ensure that the best ideas and the latest technologies are brought to life
faster, and contribute to a higher standard of living benefiting
everyone. 

Horizon 2020 will also help BiH and the other associated
countries to increase the opportunities for regional cooperation. I look
forward to Bosnia and Herzegovina taking full advantage of the funding
opportunities offered under Horizon 2020.”
