Lajčák To Meet Solana; Participate in EUSR Conference

The EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčák, is travelling tomorrow to Brussels where he will meet with Javier Solana, the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, and participate in a conference for EU Special Representatives.

The meeting with Dr Solana will be an opportunity to review areas in which Bosnia and Herzegovina has to make progress to be able to sign a Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the European Union.

Ambassador Lajčák has made developing a European agenda one of his top priorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Lajčák will also brief the EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy on his initial impressions following the talks he has held with officials and party leaders from across Bosnia and Herzegovina during the past week.

Ambassador Lajčák will also participate in an EU Special Representatives’ conference that is taking place in Brussels on the same day. This event brings together all nine EU Special Representatives appointed by the European Council in different regions of the world for an informal exchange of views on their respective experiences.
