High Representative and EU Special Representative (HR/EUSR), Valentin Inzko, met in Sarajevo today with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic. HR/EUSR informed president Mesic on the situation in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the situation in the region and on the European integration process.

HR/EUSR Inzko stated that Croatia has an important role to play in the region. Croatia sets an example how a country can make progress on its EU and NATO path though its own efforts. HR/EUSR Inzko added: “This year will be crucial for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union. The country needs to take further action and implement the European integration priorities. The future of BiH and the whole region is within the European Union.” said the High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko.
