Valentin Inzko met with Božo Ljubić

High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko met today in Sarajevo with the President of HDZ 1990, Božo Ljubić, with whom he discussed relevant political issues, with a particular emphasis on meeting the five objectives and two conditions required for transformation of the OHR. It was pointed out that there is a need for urgent progress in this regard, particularly in finding solutions for pending issues of the state and defense property. “It is impossible to talk about the EU perspective when the PIC’s five objectives and two conditions are not met. Some stages simply cannot be skipped. Much more concrete progress is required as opposed to the current declarative support to EU integrations”, High Representative and EU Special Representative Inzko pointed out. During the meeting, President Ljubić and High Representative and EU Special Representative Inzko agreed that all necessary measures needed to be taken in order to solve these issues as soon as possible, and show in this way that Bosnia and Herzegovina was ready to become a European partner.


BiH’s European future is the most important task for all political leaders. It was jointly concluded that it was of absolute importance for BiH to ensure meeting of the “Road Map” conditions for visa liberalization with the EU countries and make the EU perspective more tangible and workable for BiH citizens. High Representative and EU Special Representative Inzko pointed out that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH should adopt the remaining laws necessary for visa liberalization as soon as possible, to enable the BiH citizens enjoy all advantages of visa free travel in the EU. 


High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko welcomed the readiness of the HDZ 1990 President Božo Ljubić to participate in the broadened dialog of political leaders of this country and thus take responsibility for the wellbeing of the country.
