The OHR/EUSR congratulated the BiH Commission for Preservation of National Monuments on the receipt of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards 2010. This is recognition of the Commission’s dedicated service in preserving BiH’s heritage and national monuments.

Each year since 2002, the European cultural heritage community and its supporters turn their attention to the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards. Jointly organized by the European Commission and Europa Nostra the ceremony showcases the greatest achievements in maintaining and preserving Europe’s shared cultural heritage.

Since its foundation, the BiH Commission for Preservation of National Monuments has done an excellent job in the designation and preservation of property having cultural, historic, religious or ethnic importance as National Monuments.
