Parties Must Address Key Public Concerns

High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko held separate meetings in Sarajevo today with Member of the BiH Presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic, of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, and Mladen Ivanic, leader of the Party of Democratic Progress.

In both meetings the HR/EUSR stressed that, with just two weeks to go before the general election, core challenges facing citizens must be thoroughly debated.

He identified rising poverty and unemployment, serious shortcomings in the education system, the spread of crime and corruption, and obstacles that have been placed in the way of EU integration as key public concerns that should be raised in the media and addressed by parties and candidates.
