Inzko engages in dialogue with citizens on www.reci.ba

An overhauled, redesigned and updated website was launched at www.reci.ba today to enable citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to communicate directly with EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko and stay informed about the EU integration process of their country. The most interesting proposals, questions and observations from visitors will be published on the website, alongside answers and comments from Valentin Inzko.

In addition to a more modern look and a clearer structure, the website offers new articles, multimedia content, a calendar of events and interviews with public figures from all walks of life

Under the heading “reci tv”, vistors will find dozens of video reports on how the process of EU integration affects the daily life of citizens. The reports were produced by public broadcasters in BiH on a variety of EU topics, such as the fight against corruption, cross-border cooperation, consumer protection, the elimination of customs duties and the experiences of other countries in the EU integration process.

The section “EU vision” (EU vizija) contains interviews with public figures who speak of their views, experiences and predictions in the context of BiH’s closer integration with the European Union. The first interviewees include director Dino Mustafic, the actor couple Danijela Stanic and Sabit Sejdinovic, as well as the Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Nevenka Savic.

The section “Activism” (Aktivizam) presents successful and innovate projects by non-governmental organisations and civic initiatives in BiH, such as the “Infohouse” project, which offers young people the opportunity to get in touch with potential employers.

Young people aged 15-30 have their own corner on the website, where they can find topical information on youth projects from across BiH and the EU, and the changes and advantages awaiting them as part of the EU integration process.

Another novelty is the possibility for users to leave comments at the end of articles, and subscribe to a daily or weekly newsletter on the EU integration process. Updates to the www.reci.ba website will now also be visible on the Twitter and Facebook social networks.
