The Fifth Scholarships Fair was held at the UNSA Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo on 16 October. It is a unique event of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina and aims to bring together all the institutions that award and / or administer scholarships or award other types of financial support for studies in BiH and abroad, and to enable them to present their scholarship programs and financial support and to provide an opportunity for BiH students to obtain – at one place – information about opportunities to study abroad.

At the Fifth Scholarship Fair, twenty-nine exhibitors participated and introduced various forms of financial support (scholarships, one-time financial assistance, loans, etc.) to study in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. The EU Info Centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in this year’s fair. It presented the possibilities for studying in EU countries. Educational brochures with a special emphasis on Erasmus Mundus and its associated projects that enable the exchange of students, teachers and staff from the University of Sarajevo and partner universities from European Union member states were distributed. Four newly approved projects were presented – SIGMA, Euroweb +, Greentech and SUNBEAM and two existing projects – JoinEU-SEE PENTA and ERAWEB – that students and academic staff at the University of Sarajevo, as well as other universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be able to apply for in the 2015/2016 academic year.

Thanks to the organization of this fair in previous years, it has gained the status of an event that promotes and encourages the development and mobility of students, teachers and staff both in BiH and beyond.
