The Head of the EU Delegation/EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, met today in the EU House in Sarajevo with the Italian Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Benedetto Della Vedova. Under-Secretary Della Vedova was accompanied by the Director for the Western Balkans in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlo Lo Cascio, Italian Ambassador to BiH, H.E. Ruggero Corrias, and Italian Embassy Deputy Head of Mission of, Mr. Stefano Stucci.
Ambassador Sorensen provided his guests with an overview of the current political and socio-economic situation from the side of the EU, the dynamics and challenges ahead following the recent Conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council about BiH, and the status of BiH’s EU integration process.
Ambassador Sorensen expressed his appreciation for the Italian Government’s support to the implementation of the Regional Housing Programme, which is one of the EU’s priority areas in BiH, and for the future support from the Italian Government to EU action in the country.
