Deputy Head of EU Delegation in BiH, Dr. Renzo Daviddi, met today with the President of the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) and former EU Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Franz Fischler, in the EU HQ in Sarajevo.

During the meeting, Mr. Fischler spoke about EFA’s engagement in the Balkans and, specifically, on the activities of their Alumni groups, who are planning a conference with young people from all over the region in Sarajevo in 2014. He also mentioned EFA’s support to the United World College Mostar in helping to rebuild the Old Library in Mostar.

EFA currently organises an annual conference for over 3,000 participants from the areas of politics, government and academia from over 50 countries. EFA’s local partner in BiH is the Initiative Group Alpbach Sarajevo. The EFA was founded in 1945 as an independent NGO called International Summer Seminars.
