Today in Brussels the European Commission hosted an ad hoc meeting on the implementation of the Regional Housing Programme (RHP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting was chaired by the Acting Director General of DG Enlargement, Mr Joost Korte, with the participation of Mr Ljubic, Bosnia and Herzegovina Minister of Human Rights and Refugees, RS Minister Cordas and FBiH Minister Osmanovic. Representatives of the Council of Europe Development Bank, UNHCR, OSCE and the United States attended the meeting.
The meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of progress ahead of the Assembly of Donors on 11th October which will assess the second wave of projects. Participants agreed to jointly step up efforts to ensure that the implementation of the RHP proceeds speedily, and to contribute to providing durable solutions to the returnees issue in the region.
