International film festival ‘Kratkofil Plus’ was supported by EUSR; awards ceremony held in Banja Luka

The Grand Prix of the seventh ‘Kratkofil Plus’ film festival held in Banja Luka 24 – 28 July has been awarded to the Swedish movie ‘Noble Stud’ directed by Sofia Priftis. Explaining the decision to award the film, which deals with the subjects of quest for success and glory and escape from every-day routine and dull life, with the Festival’s most prestigious prize, the jury stated that “since political correctness became the most important social requirement, it is not only refreshing but necessary as well to question it.”

‘Kratkofil Plus’ was established in 2007 in Banja Luka and is the largest festival of short film in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year’s ‘Kratkofil Plus’ was supported by the European Union Special Representative in BiH in the framework of our annual outreach programme.

During the four days of the Festival, over 50 films were screened at the Kastel fortress and Banja Luka Youth House, which were seen by more than 4,800 movie-goers.
