The SAA will not only bring practical benefits in trade and thus for the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it is also the gateway towards candidate country status for EU accession.

I am very pleased that the political authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina have listened to the voices of their citizens, in favour of European integration, prosperity and progress, and achieved the majority vote required to adopt the police reform laws in both chambers of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly. This will now open the door for further steps on the country’s path towards the EU.”
