Theme Weeks on the topic of Bologna process to be held in Banja Luka

Actuality of the Bologna process is the topic of the roundtable within the EU financed project “Theme Weeks”. Professors, students, representatives of the education ministries, experts and coordinators for the Bologna process will attend the presentation and discussion on:

“Bologna Process and European Area of Higher Education and Research” Ceremonial Hall in the Rectorate of the University in Banja Luka

Friday, March 19th 2010  from 12 PM to 2 PM

The lecture will be given by Prof. Petar Marić

Ministers of European countries in charge of higher education signed the Bologna Declaration in 1999, thus starting the Bologna process aimed at creation of a single European system of university teaching and research by 2010, simultaneously recognizing and preserving diversity of national specificities (culture, language, tradition etc.) This method aspires to create a more flexible and efficient system of higher education in Europe which would also be competitive on the global knowledge market. Bosnia and Herzegovina signed the Bologna Declaration on September 18th 2003.

Within the “Theme Weeks” project, roundtables on the topic of Bologna process will be held, besides Banja Luka, also at faculties in Sarajevo and Mostar.

We hereby invite the media representatives to attend this event.
