Europe Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina

On the occasion of Europe Day – 9 May, the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina will organize the following events:

Sunday, 9 May at 09:45, Trg BiH 1, Sarajevo – Sport Event “Run to Europe” in cooperation with the BiH Directorate for European Integration and Association “Marathon” Sarajevo. The 4km race begins at 10:00hrs and citizens will be offered lots of information and promotional material about the European Union. The Heads of the EU Missions to BiH and Director of the BiH Directorate for European Integration, Ms. Nevenka Savic will attend.

Sunday, 9 May – EU Bus tour organized by the NGO “Europlus” Doboj starting at 09:30 from Bosanski Brod to Derventa, Maglaj, Tesanj, Teslic and ending at 16:00 in Doboj where the concert of local bands will take place as well as other activities.  trong>Sunday 9 May and Monday 10 May – The Kid’s Theatre of Republika Srpska will perform play “Folkorna magija” in Banja Luka on 9 May at 11:00 and in Mrkonjic Grad on 10 May at 18:00.

Monday, 10 May at 20:00, National Theatre in Sarajevo – Reception and gala concert for the guests with performance of the “Winds of Change”. Welcoming speeches will be given by Ambassador Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and Dr. Valentin Inzko, EU Special Representative in BiH.

9 May or “ Europe Day” is the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
