Call for written contributions to the BiH 2016 Report

Every year, the European Commission publishes Country Reports which assess the specific situation in each candidate and potential candidate country with a view to EU integration.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina 2016 Report will have a similar structure to the 2015 Report, focusing in particular on the fundamentals of the EU Enlargement Strategy: rule of law, public administration reform, economic governance and fundamental rights. It will take stock, for each of the relevant criteria (Political criteria, Economic criteria and European standards), of the readiness of BiH for future EU membership and of progress made since September 2015. This will be measured in terms of decisions actually taken, legislation adopted and the degree of implementation.

In order to further strengthen dialogue and create an opportunity for constructive inputs and feedbacks, the EU Delegation is inviting representatives of civil society organisations, business community and international organisations to submit written contributions summarizing their observations on the areas related to their sphere of activities during the reporting period. The Delegation expects contributions to be factually accurate, verifiable and objective.

Written contributions should be sent by no later than 18 April 2016 to the functional mailbox: delegation-bih-annual-report@eeas.europa.eu

The EU Delegation will also organise oral consultations in April 2016, to which the relevant stakeholders will be invited by a separate message.
