BiH’s and American high school students visited EU Delegation in BiH and discussed European Integration

Group of 40 high school students from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States, who are participants of the Global Kids exchange program, visited EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dzenana Hodzic, political adviser to the EUSR was a lecturer on the occasion and during her presentation she has touched upon requirements that BiH has to fulfil in order to be eligible to submit a credible application for EU membership. During the meeting, Ms. Hodzic also presented mandate, structure, priorities, aims and objectives of the organization. After the lecture, students engaged in a fruitful discussion about BiH prospects and future steps to be undertaken and about the importance of exchange programs for young students.

Global Kids is a grantee of the U.S. Department of State’s 2013 American Youth Leadership Program (AYLP) to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through the exchange program Global Kids and partners connected 20 youth from the New York City with their peers in Bosnia and Herzegovina where they learned together about the power of citizen diplomacy, the importance of intercultural understanding, and the influence of the media in conflict, peace building, and social justice.
