Mojžita: Political Stability is a Precondition for EU Integration Success

In an interview for www.reci.ba, Miroslav Mojžita Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina says that both the Government of the Republic of Slovakia and the entire European Union have advocated for abolishment of visas for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “If there is political will from the responsible authorities in BiH involved in this process then there is still a chance for visa’s to be abolished,” said Ambassador Mojžita. “However, this means that all concerned must work to achieve this objective — visa free access to Europe is of huge importance, especially for young people”.

In his interview Mojžita emphasized that BiH’s political stability is an important precondition for the success of the EU integration process. More effort should be made in order to fulfil specific conditions that now prevent BiH’s accession to the EU.

Commenting on the Prud Process, Ambassador Mojžita said that it is normal that the EU and other international actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina welcome the Prud Process. After a long stalemate a continuation of negotiations on serious political issues has commenced.

It is extremely important that BiH political actors, who bear the greatest responsibility for current situation, are the main protagonists in this. It is logical that legal experts and the Parliamentary Assembly become involved once a certain basic level of consensus is reached. “Reaching an initial political agreement is the most important thing right now in order to be able to proceed with constitutional reform”, concludes the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to BiH, Miroslav Mojžita.
