HR/EUSR Inzko With Slovenian Representative in the European Parliament, Tanja Fajon

The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Valentin Inzko, today met in Sarajevo with Tanja Fajon, a member of the European Parliament, who has presented a document to the European Parliament requesting that BiH and Albania be included on the White Schengen List as soon as the requirements of the European Commission have been met.

HR/EUSR Inzko underlined the fact that BiH has made significant progress compared to July this year by adopting a set of measures related to fight against corruption as well as the Proposed Strategy and Action Plan to Prevent Money Laundering and Funding Terrorist Activities in BiH and the Proposed Agreement on Cooperation and Exchange of Data from Police and Prosecutorial Records.

“This positive momentum in the work of the Council of Ministers should be used, and remaining important elements of the Road Map should be met as soon as possible, including the issue of biometric passports so that BiH citizens can start having the benefit of a visa-free regime in the shortest possible time,” – HR/EUSR Inzko said at today’s meeting. He also thanked Mrs. Fajon for her sincere commitment to the interests of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
