About the ecological Natura 2000 network

Natura 2000 is the core of the EU’s nature and biodiversity conservation. Two powerful European regulations form the basis of the EU policy, as a response to this commitment founded solely on a scientific basis – the Birds Directive and Habitats Directive. The aim of the Network is to ensure the long-term survival of the most important animals and plants of Europe, as well as their environmental surroundings in all Member States. NATURA 2000 Network allows activities with special care for nature – through sustainable management, both environmentally and economically.

The Natura 2000 network is a scientifically based process of nature conservation, which is enforceable and covers the needs of society.

The exhibition “Cooperation FOR NATURA” will be available for viewing in the Multimedia MAK Centre in the Sarajevo Library, located on Ailipašina 6, from 6 to 19 June 2014, every weekday from 08:00 to 18:00 hrs.
