Europe Day marked in Sarajevo together with members of NGO Altruista “SVJETLO”

Twelve young people with disabilities who are members of the NGO Altruista “SVJETLO”, participated today in a quiz “What do young people with disabilities know about the European Union?”. The quiz was organised by the NGO in order to make a contribution to the celebration of Europe Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dr Renzo Daviddi, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH, was invited by the NGO to address the participants at the start and to meet the activists.

Highlighting the importance of Europe Day for the creation of today’s European Union, Dr Daviddi said: “What has started back then as the union of six countries has grown into the Union of 27 member states” and added that there is a lot of work ahead of BiH on its way to the European Union.

“I feel happy when we have the opportunity to show how much we can learn and be hard-working. I am especially happy that Mr Daviddi could see how much we learnt about the European Union”, said Nadira Kal, representative of the winning team.

Dr Daviddi commended all participants for the knowledge they showed during the quiz and after the quiz enjoyed talking with the participants about their activities and sharing information about the European Union and its activities in BiH.
